Government Spokesman: Saudi escalation against Yemen will draw stronger response

The government spokesman Dr. Omar Al-Bukaiti said Saudi enemy escalation against the Republic of Yemen would lead to a stronger and more forceful Yemeni response, under the equation of “escalation for escalation and siege for siege” and the legitimate right to self-defense.

In a statement to Saba, Al-Bukaiti said Saudi accusations that Yemen had targeted Makkah were a “blatant lie,” adding that growing global awareness had exposed what he described as a pattern of Saudi falsehoods.

He said Saudi enemy warplanes operating from Khamis Mushait and Taif had carried out 732 airstrikes against Yemen, accusing Riyadh of continuing to violate Yemeni sovereignty and shed Yemeni blood.

Al-Bukaiti also accused Saudi Arabia of attempting to carry out attacks targeting civilians in Sana’a, describing such actions as evidence of what he called a “brutal” approach.

He warned that further Saudi escalation would carry a heavy price, stressing that Yemen would respond with its strongest strikes and would not hesitate to deter what he called Saudi enemy aggression.

Al-Bukaiti further claimed that Yemeni strikes are highly precise and that the armed forces maintain strict operational discipline, while alleging that any civilian casualties caused by Saudi air defenses result from the trajectory of intercepted missiles.

He concluded by calling on Saudi Arabia to stop its “false accusations, bombing, crimes and siege” against the Yemeni people, warning that continued escalation would have consequences.
