Insan Organization Press Conference

The Insan Organization for Rights and Freedoms held a press conference today in Sanaa titled “Eight Years of Violations, Casualties, and Lack of Accountability: Monitoring the Situation, Victims, Displacement, Detention, and Restrictions on Services and Civilian Objects in Western Yemen.” During the event, the organization presented a report detailing the violations suffered by civilians in the West Coast regions.

At the conference, Ali Tayseer, Head of the National Commission for Human Rights, called upon the international community, the United Nations, the Security Council, the Human Rights Council, and international organizations to take a clear stand regarding these crimes.

He noted that the violations and crimes documented in the report include killings, injuries, enforced disappearances, unlawful detention, torture, and forced displacement, as well as the targeting of fishermen and civilians. He called for the formation of an independent and impartial international committee of experts to inspect the crime scenes and investigate the incidents.
