Deputy FM: Sayyed Nasrallah’s Support for Yemen Will Remain Etched in Public Memory

Yemen’s Deputy Foreign Minister Abdulwahid Abu Ras said that the positions of Hezbollah leader Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, who was assassinated in an Israeli strike, in support of Yemen will remain firmly rooted in the memory of the Yemeni people.

In a message to Hezbollah’s Arab and International Relations official marking the annual commemoration of Sayyed Nasrallah, Abu Ras stressed that the Israeli policy of assassinations would only strengthen the resistance’s resolve, resilience and commitment to its stated rights.

He affirmed that this year’s second anniversary of Sayyed Nasrallah’s martyrdom coincides with significant victories for Yemen’s Armed Forces and people. Abu Ras recalled Sayyed Nasrallah’s statements and positions throughout the Yemeni war, saying he had sought to raise morale and repeatedly expressed confidence that Yemen would prevail.

Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, the longtime leader of Lebanon’s Hezbollah, was assassinated in an Israeli airstrike on Beirut in September 2024. His martyrdom prompted commemorations and statements of support across the region.
