Yemen’s Military Media released footage of operations against Saudi-backed forces led by Saudi officer Fares al-Shammari, stating that there were heavy casualties and equipment losses, alongside the seizure of weapons and military vehicles.
The footage showed Yemeni forces targeting troop deployments with artillery, missiles and guided weapons.
It also showed attack drones striking military vehicles and troop concentrations, destroying several vehicles and forcing some forces to retreat.
The footage documented missile strikes, casualty evacuations and the transfer of the dead and wounded for medical assistance.
It also showed explosions involving weapons-carrying vehicles and the seizure of military vehicles and light and medium weapons.
According to the Military Media, the remaining forces withdrew after failing to achieve their objectives and suffering significant losses.
Yemen’s military actions against Saudi targets are part of a response to years of Saudi-led military intervention, attacks and blockade since 2015. Sana’a has repeatedly called for an end to hostilities and warned that continued aggression would be met with reciprocal measures.
