Abdul Salam: Freedom of navigation, international trade movement in Red Sea, Bab al-Mandab are safe, regular

Head of the National Negotiating Delegation Mohammed Abdul Salam affirmed that freedom of navigation and international trade movement in the Red Sea and Bab al-Mandab are safe and regular, and there is no need for any international concern about them.

In a post on the X platform, Abdul Salam explained that the ongoing operations are specific in their targets according to what was previously announced, come within the defensive framework, and that once the aggression on Yemen stops and the siege on it is lifted, the current operations will stop.

He pointed out that what the Yemeni Armed Forces did in some coastal areas is a national operation within the framework of imposing Yemeni sovereignty and dealing with the challenges and ambitions that threaten civil peace.

He noted that “true, just, and honorable peace was and will remain our strategic choice, and everyone must realize that the peace option with Yemen is the least costly and the shortest path toward reorganizing relations according to the principles of good neighborliness, mutual respect, and common interests.”

The head of the National Negotiating Delegation also affirmed that the Republic of Yemen has no ambitions in any neighboring country or Arab, Islamic, and other countries of the world, and has not aggressed against any country; rather, it is the one that has been aggressed against in a manner contrary to Islamic and Arab brotherhood.
