Araghchi: Missiles are not up for negotiation, date for 2nd round has not yet been set

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated on Wednesday that Iran’s missiles are not up for negotiation and that the date for the second round of negotiations with the United States has not yet been set.

The Iranian news agency Mehr reported that Araghchi, speaking on the sidelines of the 47th anniversary celebrations of the Islamic Revolution, emphasized that the large public turnout at these celebrations is a message expressing the strength and power of the Islamic Republic of Iran and is the most important factor supporting and strengthening Iran’s position at the negotiating table.

He added, “We will be present in the diplomatic arena with the encouragement of this nation and relying on their conscious and enthusiastic presence on the platform.”

The Iranian Foreign Minister stressed that the large public turnout is the secret to the power, stability, and health of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and this presence carries a clear message to both the country’s friends and enemies.

He pointed out that the framework of the ongoing negotiations with the United States is not open to negotiation, and said: “No one can touch our missiles, and they are not and will not be a subject of negotiations,” adding: “The date for the next round of negotiations has not yet been set.”
