UN’s continued misrepresentations, failure to correctly characterize situation in Yemen is cover for perpetuation of War
The Deputy Foreign Minister affirmed in a statement that the continued blatant misrepresentations by the United Nations and the so-called international community in failing to correctly characterize the situation in Yemen is nothing but a cover for the perpetuation of this “war” and investment in it.
He pointed out that the problem lies in the external interventions in Yemen through its regional tool, the “Saudi regime,” which is trying to hide its involvement. He explained that what has happened in the southern and eastern governorates proves, to anyone still rational, that the Saudi regime is the controller of the conflict, the sponsor of the mercenaries, and the investor in the outcomes, whatever they may be.
He considered the formation of the so-called “mercenaries’ government” and its swearing-in ceremony in Riyadh as evidence of who truly controls those agents and traitors to the country and the Yemeni people. He clarified that the roadmap, whose terms were agreed upon during the past period under UN supervision, is the result of negotiations between Sana’a and Riyadh, with no presence of any other parties.
Abu Ras also confirmed that the continued efforts of the American enemy to push the Saudi regime to maintain the occupation of large parts of Yemen, as well as the continued siege and pressure on the Yemeni people, will backfire on these cheap tools.
He said, “The Saudi regime’s belief that regional and international changes and American movements in the region serve its expansionist ambitions in Yemen is a mistaken belief and a decision with uncalculated consequences, which will result in devastating repercussions for its ambitions and dreams.”
The Deputy Foreign Minister pointed out that the worn-out rhetoric regarding spies working in some organizations will not deter the judiciary and security agencies from carrying out their duty to impose deterrent punishment on those hostile intelligence elements.
He concluded his statement by affirming that insulting the Yemeni judiciary by the envoy is absolutely unacceptable and will result in negative repercussions.
