Armed Forces: Saudi Airstrikes on Yemen Reach 2,542 Since Escalation Began

Saudi warplanes carried out 53 airstrikes over the past 24 hours, targeting civilian infrastructure in the capital Sana’a and the governorates of Taiz, Ibb, Lahj, Sa’adah, and Amran, according to the Yemeni Armed Forces.

Yemeni Armed Forces stressed that the strikes were carried out by F-15 and Typhoon aircraft that took off from Khamis Mushait and Taif air bases, leaving numerous civilians killed and wounded, most of them women and children.

The Armed Forces added that the total number of Saudi airstrikes and missile attacks against Yemen since the escalation began had reached 2,542.

The latest escalation comes amid an intensifying Saudi military campaign against Yemen, with repeated airstrikes and missile attacks targeting multiple governorates.

Yemeni authorities say these operations threaten civilians, damage infrastructure and deepen the humanitarian crisis after years of war and economic restrictions since March 2015.
