Five Martyrs in Israeli airstrike on Sar Al-Gharbiya, southern Lebanon

Five people were martyred on Saturday evening as a result of an Israeli airstrike on the town of Sar Al-Gharbiya in southern Lebanon, in a continued violation of the temporary ceasefire agreement.

The Lebanese National News Agency reported that the Israeli strike, which targeted a residential building in the town earlier in the day, killed five civilians, including children, and wounded others. Rescue teams from various relief organizations and civil defense units are continuing efforts to remove rubble and search for bodies.

Since March 2, the Israeli aggression on Lebanon has escalated, targeting towns, villages, cities, and civilian infrastructure, resulting in thousands of martyrs and wounded, and the displacement of around 1.5 million Lebanese citizens.

The temporary ceasefire came into effect in mid-April; however, Israeli forces continue to carry out daily violations of the agreement.
