The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza condemned the arrest by Israeli forces on Tuesday morning of seven members of the Palestinian Red Crescent Society’s ambulance crews while they were performing their humanitarian duties on Salah al-Din Street.
In a statement, the Ministry indicated that five of the crew members were released after interrogation, while two remain in detention.
The Ministry demanded the immediate release of the detained ambulance drivers, emphasizing that targeting medical personnel and obstructing their work constitutes a violation of international humanitarian law and undermines efforts to provide healthcare and emergency services to the population.
