Hamas: Settlement outpost established on Mount Ebal Part of plan to annex WB lands

Mahmoud Mardawi, a leader in the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), confirmed that the Israeli enemy’s establishment this morning, Wednesday, of a new settlement outpost on Mount Ebal overlooking the city of Nablus is part of a settlement plan that includes 22 new settlements and aims to annex more West Bank land, ultimately leading to annexation and displacement.

Mardawi added in a statement, that this outpost coincides with a broad settlement project through which the Israeli enemy government seeks to legitimize dozens of outposts and transform them into established settlements, in flagrant violation of all international laws and resolutions rejecting settlement activity on Palestinian land.

He explained that the choice of Mount Ebal carries dangerous implications, as it is a strategic location overlooking Nablus and the villages of the northern West Bank, revealing the Israeli enemy’s intentions to tighten its geographical and military control over the area and encircle Palestinian cities with settlements.

He warned of the dangers of this escalating settlement activity, which is taking place under the protection of the Israeli enemy army and with the support of its extremist government. He emphasized that the Judaization policies will not grant the enemy legitimacy over a single inch of Palestinian land, and that the steadfastness and resilience of the Palestinian people will not waver.

Mardawi called on the Palestinian people in the West Bank to escalate the confrontation, strengthen their resilience, and resist settlement plans. He also called for mobilizing all national and popular energies to protect the land and prevent the expansion of settlement outposts.
