Hezbollah announced in a statement that the strike targeted the naval base in the city of Haifa on Monday and achieved the desired objectives.
The statement noted that resistance fighters conducted the missile operation in defense of Lebanon, and in response to recurrent bombings on civilians, their displacement, and the destruction of civilian infrastructure.
In recent days, the fighters of the resistance movement have carried out as many as two offensive operations per hour.
Among the most notable strikes was a missile attack that reached 200 kilometers deep into the occupied territories, as well as a significant blow inflicted on the Israeli regime’s ground forces operating in the northern sector.
Haifa oil refinery targeted in missile strike
Avihu Han, Deputy Mayor of Haifa and head of the Haifa Bay Cities Union for Environmental Protection, reacted angrily to the attack, criticizing prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu for risking the lives of Haifa residents and jeopardizing Israel’s energy security.
He said a strike on refineries in the heart of a populated residential area constitutes a fiasco of energy and security policies.
