Yemeni Coastal Defense Chief: Naval Forces Ready for Decisive Response to US-Israel Escalation

Commander of Yemen’s Coastal Defense Forces, Mohammed Ali Al-Qadri, affirmed that Yemeni Naval Forces are on high alert to confront any escalation by the United States and the Israeli enemy, warning that all hostile movements in the Red Sea and territorial waters are being closely monitored.

Al-Qadri stated that Yemen has already demonstrated its capability to target vessels linked to the United States and the Israeli enemy in the Red Sea and Bab al-Mandab Strait, utilizing a range of naval missile systems and drones. He emphasized that Yemen has emerged as a regional force capable of defending its strategic geography and imposing effective deterrence.

He added that naval and coastal defense units are tracking all potential threats and are prepared to deliver a “powerful and decisive” response to any hostile action, including the use of cruise missiles, ballistic missiles, and advanced weapon systems to neutralize threats and safeguard maritime sovereignty.

Al-Qadri highlighted Yemen’s growing role in the regional deterrence equation, noting that recent Yemeni operations targeting the depth of the Israeli enemy add pressure alongside strikes carried out by Iran and Hezbollah, within a coordinated multi-front framework.

He further noted that Yemen’s naval capabilities have significantly evolved over years of conflict, with forces successfully rebuilding and advancing their military systems despite ongoing aggression and blockade.

The coastal defense chief warned against any cooperation with US-Israel forces in the Red Sea or Bab al-Mandab, stressing that any party involved in hostile actions against Yemen would face a firm and deterrent response.

He concluded by stating that, as Yemen approaches the twelfth year of resilience, it continues progressing toward consolidating national defense capabilities, having transformed prolonged conflict into an opportunity to develop advanced military industries and a modern fighting force.

The statement comes amid escalating regional tensions and increased Yemeni military activity, including missile and drone operations targeting sites of the Israeli enemy and threats to maritime routes linked to US-Israel interests. Yemeni forces have repeatedly signaled readiness to expand operations in strategic maritime corridors, particularly the Red Sea and Bab al-Mandab Strait.

These developments align with a broader pattern of coordinated actions involving Iran and Hezbollah, as part of an intensifying regional confrontation that has elevated Yemen’s role as a key actor in maritime security and deterrence dynamics.
