Iran prepares bill to bar Israeli ships from Hormuz

Iran’s First Deputy Speaker Ali Nikzad said Tehran has drafted a law to ban Israeli vessels from crossing the Strait of Hormuz and to restrict ships from hostile countries unless they pay war reparations.

He added that other ships would be allowed to pass only with prior approval, in line with international law and the rights of neighboring states.

The move comes after a 40-day U.S.-Israeli offensive against Iran, to which Tehran responded with Operation “True Promise 4.”
