Iran’s Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf stated on Tuesday that his country is aware of what is happening in the paper oil market, meaning “the market for trading financial contracts related to oil, not actual oil,” including the companies employed to influence oil futures contracts. He also alluded to the broader media pressure campaign accompanying this.
Ghalibaf added in a post on the X platform, : “Let’s see if they can convert that into real fuel at the pump, or perhaps even print gas molecules.”
