Khatam al-Anbiya: No ship can cross Strait of Hormuz without Iran authorization

Brig. Gen. Ebrahim Zolfaghari, spokesperson for Iran’s Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, said on Thursday that no vessel can safely cross the Strait of Hormuz without Iranian authorization and direct supervision by the Iranian armed forces.

According to Iran’s Tasnim news agency, Zolfaghari dismissed claims that ships are routinely transiting the strait, describing them as baseless allegations reflecting the U.S. military’s confusion and inability.

He said the Strait of Hormuz remains under Iran’s full control and that commercial vessels and oil tankers cannot safely pass through it without a permit and Iranian military oversight.

Zolfaghari accused the United States of seeking to create instability in the region and warned that Iran would respond more forcefully than before to any threat, stressing that its armed forces are closely monitoring U.S. and Israeli activities in the region.
