Iran’s steadfastness and victory in confronting US-Israeli aggression—demonstrating resilience, high combat effectiveness, and the destruction of US bases over five months of major confrontation—represents a victory for the entire nation and the peoples of the region, according to the leader of the revolution, Sayyed Abdulmalik al-Houthi.
In his address on the latest regional developments, the leader described Iran’s resistance as “unprecedented in the history of our nation and unparalleled in our Arab and Islamic world.”
Iran’s Defeat Would Have Meant Regional Subjugation
Sayyed Abdulmalik warned that if the US and Israel had succeeded in toppling Iran’s system, “they would have immediately completed steps targeting the peoples of this region, foremost among them neighboring countries and Arab and Gulf states.”
He emphasized that Iran’s resilience serves as a “fortress” protecting Gulf countries: “If the Americans had succeeded in Iran, they would never have spared Syria, regardless of its political orientation—because Zionist ambitions target this geography, this region.”
US and Israel Breach Agreements, Then Blame Others
On the memorandum of understanding, the leader noted that “the American enemy continues to flagrantly violate the memorandum of understanding, just as the Israeli enemy completely disregards agreements, breaks covenants, and reneges on clear commitments—then holds the other party responsible while having honored nothing themselves.”
Sayyed Abdulmalik characterized the US-Israeli axis as “pathologically greedy and avaricious, without parallel.”
He warned Gulf countries: “These criminals respect nothing, no matter what you do for them.” He cited the Quranic verse: “The Jews and Christians will never be pleased with you until you follow their religion” (Quran 2:120), and “Here you are loving them, but they do not love you” (Quran 3:119).
‘Unprecedented’ Resilience
The leader emphasized that “for the first time in our region, in such a battle, there is resilience, steadfastness, effectiveness, impact, and strength of position at this level in our Arab and Islamic world.” This is “a great honor for our Islamic nation,” he added.
He explained that this resilience has “shattered equations the Americans were accustomed to—that major Arab systems fall in simple battles of weeks or days.” The Israeli enemy similarly was used to defeating Arab armies “in hours or days.”
Sacrifices in the Context of Victory
Sayyed Abdulmalik noted that “the US and Israeli aggression—with its killing, assassinations, targeting of children in schools, civilians, and civilian infrastructure—does not constitute victory or genuine strategic achievement. It is merely crime, aggression, and injustice.”
He concluded that Trump’s “insults, threats, psychological warfare attempts, and contradictory statements—often changing within hours—testify to the extent of American failure and the global consensus that the US, along with its Israeli partner, has failed in this aggression.”
