The leader of the revolution, Sayyed Abdulmalik al-Houthi has called upon the Yemeni people to stage a massive million-strong demonstration on Friday in the capital Sana’a and other provinces, to affirm their commitment to freedom and to break the humanitarian and economic siege imposed by the Saudi enemy on Yemen.
In his address on the latest developments, Sayyed Abdulmalik emphasized that the “wide presence in the squares of freedom” tomorrow represents a practical embodiment of the principle of monotheism—”rejecting all forms of enslavement and humiliation that the Saudi enemy attempts to impose on Yemenis.”
A Declaration of Freedom and Dignity
“The march tomorrow is a march to express freedom and dignity,” Sayyed Abdulmalik stated. “Presence in the squares means our choice to be free, not slaves—except to God, the One, the Almighty.”
Addressing those who uphold monotheism, he said: “Whoever believes in God and that he is not a slave to anyone but God, among our people who can go out, let them go out tomorrow and the day after tomorrow.” He added that “this is a position and a choice for us—a decision that expresses the orientation and authenticity of this people.”
‘The Matter Is a Matter of Dignity’
The leader called upon the Yemeni people to make Friday’s turnout “unprecedented and honorable.” He declared: “The matter is a matter of dignity, of a people, of a people’s freedom, of religion, of a dear people, a great people whose entire history is honorable, and who have proven themselves with great and honorable steadfastness through all these years.”
In a deeply personal declaration, Sayyed Abdulmalik said: “My soul for you, my dear people—my soul is for God and my life is for God in your service, so that you are not wronged, humiliated, or enslaved by any tyrant in this world. I am your sacrifice—for your dignity, for your honor, so that you may be free, subject only to God, and no one enslaves you besides God.”
Clear Equations in Confrontation
The leader affirmed that the Yemeni people will not accept the continuation of “neither war nor peace” or submission to the policy of starvation and economic siege imposed by Saudi aggression. He stressed that Yemen’s options for reclaiming its legitimate rights and demands are “firm and not open to compromise.”
He warned against continued procrastination and tightening the noose on Yemeni citizens’ livelihoods, declaring a clear equation: “Our equations are: siege for siege. If the Saudi enemy proceeds to comprehensive escalation, we will proceed to comprehensive escalation.”
The call for an “unprecedented” million-strong march comes amid escalating tensions following the attempted Saudi interception of an Iranian aircraft at Sana’a airport and Yemen’s declaration of a no-fly zone over Saudi airspace. The leadership appears to be mobilizing popular support in preparation for a new phase of confrontation, framing the struggle as one of freedom versus enslavement.
