Today, the capital Sana’a witnessed massive popular gatherings in four main squares (the Military College, east of Al-Sha’ab Mosque, Tahrir Square, and Sana’a University), celebrating the anniversary of Yawm al-Wilayah (Glorious Ghadir Day). Crowds flocked from various districts to express their adherence to the principle of guardianship (wilayah) of God, His Messenger, and Imam Ali (peace be upon him), and to renew their covenant to follow his path.
The speeches affirmed that commemorating this anniversary strengthens faith-based identity and Quranic culture, unifies ranks in the face of the forces of global arrogance (America and Israel). They pointed out that the Yemeni people’s adherence to wilayah is the reason for their strength and victory, and their honorable stance alongside the axis of resistance in Palestine, Lebanon, Iran, and Iraq.
The festivals featured choral segments and poems, with the participation of the Mayor of the Capital, ministers, members of the House of Representatives and Shura Council, military, security, and local leaders, and vast crowds of citizens.
