Revolution Leader congratulates Yemenis & Muslim nation on Ghadir & Wilayah day Occasion

Revolution Leader Sayyid Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi extended his warmest congratulations and blessings to the Yemeni people and the Muslim nation on the occasion of Ghadir and the Day of Wilayah, describing it as a great religious occasion.

In his speech today marking the anniversary of the Day of Wilayah (Eid al-Ghadir) 1447 AH, the Leader stated that the Yemeni people had commemorated the occasion of Wilayah on this blessed day with major celebrations across the free governorates, as they do every year.

He considered the occasion of Ghadir and the Day of Wilayah to be one of the authentic occasions and part of the deeply rooted faith heritage of the Yemeni Muslim people, noting that it is not a recent tradition but has been observed by generations over centuries as part of their steadfast religious identity.

He said, “Our people pay great attention to religious occasions, foremost among them the Prophet’s Birthday and other significant events. They benefit from these occasions in preserving their identity and achievements. They also value the educational and moral lessons these occasions provide, giving them importance as an expression of gratitude for Allah’s blessings and recognition of the greatness of His religion.”

The Leader added that “the event of Ghadir and its declaration are among the established historical facts unanimously acknowledged by historians and scholars of Hadith. It is neither a questionable matter nor one subject to doubt.” He stressed that commemorating Ghadir and Wilayah is a revival of an authentic , confirmed occasion and one of the indisputable historical realities.

He emphasized that the importance of the Ghadir occasion lies in bearing witness to the perfection of religion and the completion of divine blessings, and in appreciating Allah’s favor because of the goodness it brings in this life and the Hereafter. He explained that when the nation follows the proper course, it truly attains the fullness of blessings in all aspects of life.

He said, “Among the complete blessings are the blessings of dignity, liberation from the authority of tyranny, human honor, and many highly significant outcomes.”

The Revolution Leader explained that one of the most important aspects of the occasion is that it documents the historic message conveyed by the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) in obedience to Allah’s command. He noted that the greatness of that message reflects its supreme significance , merits attention , preservation through continued discussion and remembrance.

He added, “The process of documenting, proclaiming, and speaking about this message is one of the important benefits of this occasion, serving to counter efforts aimed at undermining its meaning and significance and preventing the nation from benefiting from it.” He pointed out the great importance of commemorating Ghadir in strengthening the concept of Wilayah in a way that safeguards the Muslim nation from allegiance to Jews and Christians.

The Leader noted that the concept of Wilayah protects the nation from placing Jews and Christians in positions of authority, command, guidance, and control over its affairs in various fields. He considered supporting and aligning with them in positions of assistance and endorsement to be a major danger to the nation, one that automatically subjects it to the authority of tyranny and distances it from devotion to Allah.

He stated, “Allegiance to the enemies of Allah is a very serious deviation, while the concept of Wilayah embodies dignity, strength, and protection for the Muslim nation against the dangers posed by the Jews and their allies.”

He further explained that the Day of Wilayah has an important connection to the current reality, the circumstances, and the nature of the challenges and threats facing the nation. He stressed that it is an occasion of great significance, linked to contemporary realities, challenges, and dangers, as well as to fundamental Islamic principles that hold great importance in the religion.

He also noted that some countries focus on trivial occasions, including certain Jewish observances whose content, he said, corrupts morals , reinforces loyalty and attachment to Jews. He pointed out that the Prophet’s farewell to his nation during the Farewell Pilgrimage, and his indication that his departure was near, came within the context of emphasizing important arrangements intended to safeguard the future of the nation.

The Ummah was stripped of guardianship (Wilayah), leaving it deprived of the honor of carrying the divine message and the honor of undertaking its great responsibilities. As a result, it abandoned some of its greatest sources of strength, declined in its priorities, and became vulnerable to misguidance, corruption, dilution of its values, as well as subjugation and humiliation.

He said: “We observe that the Jews and Christians seek to present themselves under the banner of light against darkness and justice against oppression, while in reality they are among the most unjust, misguided, and corrupt. The Jews also work to strip the Ummah of the honor of carrying the divine message and its great and sacred principles, to the extent that many members of the Ummah have come to feel embarrassed by or alienated from these noble values.”

He noted that the enemies seek to transform the Ummah into a nation that is obedient to them, supportive of them, and accepting of their role. He stressed that surrendering to and accepting subjugation by the Jews is a catastrophe, as it enables them to exploit and enslave the Ummah with ease.

The Leader further pointed out that the enemies do not wish any good for the Ummah; all their projects are hostile and criminal in nature, and all their agendas and schemes are aimed at targeting and destroying the Ummah.
