Ministry of Health: Eight citizens martyred, injured by Saudi enemy targeting Al-Shamaytein District in Taiz

The Ministry of Health and Environment affirmed the martyrdom and injury of eight citizens as a result of Saudi enemy aircraft targeting citizens’ homes in Al-Shamaytein District of Taiz Governorate.

The Ministry explained in a statement issued by it that the Saudi enemy’s airstrikes on two homes in the village of Jan’a in the Al-Masahin and Al-Za’azi’ areas of Al-Shamaytein District resulted, in an initial toll, in the martyrdom of seven citizens and the injury of a girl with wounds.

It affirmed that enemy aircraft are still flying over the area and preventing ambulance crews from recovering the victims and transporting the wounded, which exacerbates the scale of the humanitarian catastrophe.

The statement noted that targeting safe residential homes and preventing ambulance crews from reaching them represents a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law and adds to the series of war crimes committed by the Saudi enemy against civilians in Yemen.
