Revolutionary Leader calls for boycott of media channels serving Jews & promoting misguidance

Revolutionary Leader Sayyed Abdul-Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi called for a media boycott of channels that serve the Jews , misleading channels that promote doctrinal, cultural, and intellectual deviation.

In his sixth lecture of the Dhul-Hijjah lessons on Sunday, as part of the series “Indeed, This Qur’an Guides to That Which Is Most Upright,” the leader explained that the media sphere is one of the important fields that occupies a wide space in what people say , do, and that it also involves moral, religious, and faith-based responsibilities. He stressed that the media aspect has a major impact in the arena of conflict between “us and the enemies from among the Jews and their supporters.”

He pointed out that there are satellite channels — including political news channels — that clearly and unquestionably serve Jews, Zionism, America, and Israel.

He said, “The content presented by those channels serves the Jews and justifies everything Israel does, while always placing the blame, problems, and responsibility on the mujahideen, the people of the nation, and the oppressed.” He cited their coverage during the events in Gaza, where they blamed the resistance fighters in the Strip for the crimes of the Israeli enemy while portraying the enemy’s actions as normal.

He added, “The stance of those satellite channels toward the Palestinian cause, the resistance fighters in Palestine, and the rest of the nation’s fighters is among the clearest indicators exposing their true nature. The events in Palestine, which are clear and unmistakable to everyone, have revealed their reality, and this is enough for a person to recognize their generally negative orientation.”

The revolutionary leader stated that these media outlets, through their news and political content that serves the Jews, have turned themselves into mouthpieces for Zionism and servants of the Zionists.

He also noted that “some misleading channels promote falsehood and deviation through their doctrinal, cultural, and intellectual content,” stressing that such a trend should be boycotted. He said it is inappropriate for people to be connected to media outlets that serve Jews, falsehood, and misguidance, describing them as “a voice of deviation and a voice of Satan in every sense of the word.”

He concluded by saying, “We must be cautious in every field in which Jewish activity extends through propaganda, media, and misguidance. As Muslims, we should possess high awareness and insight through the guidance of Allah and distinguish ourselves from others.”

He called on Muslims to maintain a high level of awareness and insight through the guidance of Allah Almighty, and emphasized that even in speech and expression, they should distinguish themselves from others by ensuring that their words are governed by their principles, values, morals, and the teachings of their Lord, rather than by chaos and moral disregard, which he described as a highly dangerous condition with serious consequences in this life and the Hereafter. He explained that kind words are beneficial to people, have a positive impact on life, strengthen social relations, and help heal psychological wounds.

Abdul-Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi stated that the fruit of following Allah’s guidance is reflected in the uprightness of a person’s speech, and that those who identify themselves through faith, the Qur’an, and struggle in the path of Allah should be the foremost examples of disciplined and righteous speech.

He said that the Jews, whom he described as being among those most deviated from divine guidance, fill their discourse with malicious content stemming from their corruption in various fields, adding that what they present has a harmful effect in dividing societies and has become one of the major manifestations of what he called sinful speech.

He added that the nation should not allow the Jews to influence it to the point where it loses commitment to its responsibilities, principles, and values, asserting that Jews and their allies among what he called the “forces of evil” from the People of the Book are the most active and influential in the media sphere in targeting the Islamic arena.

He pointed out that enemies have established new sects, doctrines, and trends under religious titles that amount to a complete departure from Islam, citing the Bahá’í and Ahmadi movements as examples. He also referred to movements operating in the name of Islam, such as the Wahhabi Takfiri trend, which he described as destructive to the Islamic nation from within and dangerously misleading.

The leader further stated that enemies seek, through media content, to corrupt human morality, encourage ethical decay, and push people toward vice, stressing that societies around the world—not only in the Islamic world—complain about what Jews and their allies are doing in attempts to corrupt them.

He also addressed the role of hypocrites in the Islamic arena, saying they serve the Jews and the “forces of evil” among the People of the Book by fragmenting and dividing the nation. He stressed that there is great value in struggle within the media field because it confronts those who seek to mislead people.

He touched on the psychological warfare waged by enemies to spread despair, stressing that it should be met with proper action that leaves no room for the enemy, with steadfastness, patience, and responsible action.

He said that people with weak souls and a defeatist mentality imagine that the solution lies in surrendering truth and abandoning just positions merely because of propaganda campaigns, emphasizing that the correct approach is to confront falsehood and hostile propaganda—filled with fabrications and lies—with patience and the dignity of faith.

Donald Trump was also mentioned, with Abdul-Malik al-Houthi claiming that Trump’s recent statements amount to intimidation and exaggeration regarding the stance toward Iran. He said that propaganda campaigns in media outlets affiliated with Jews follow the same path of exaggeration and attempts to destroy morale.

He added that hypocrites play a destructive role that weakens the nation from within, spreads corruption , division, harms brotherhood and cooperation. He stressed the need to expose what he described as coordinated campaigns that adopt the same terminology used by Jews.

He asserted that hypocritical campaigns always coincide with major events and military escalation, operating from what he described as unified media “kitchens.” He also said that social media campaigns and so-called “electronic flies” work in an organized way to serve enemies.

He continued by saying that hypocrites and those “with sickness in their hearts” are tied in media and propaganda to the same Jewish-oriented agendas that seek to divide Muslim society, while also criticizing gullible and careless individuals who spread rumors and lies.

The revolutionary leader stressed that a person’s primary duty is verification and confirmation before sharing information, noting that many who spread propaganda are corrupt individuals.

He added that after verification, issues and demands should be handled wisely and responsibly, and that not every issue in society should be dealt with through propaganda and media incitement.

He noted that some people align themselves with the enemies and with Zionist media voices, stressing that such behavior is wrong and should not be positively engaged with.

He called on the “front of truth” to consist of wise, aware, reform-minded, responsible, and serious individuals who carry a positive and practical spirit, stressing that struggle in the media field lies in clarifying facts.

He condemned unthinking engagement with lies, propaganda, and false campaigns, warning that spreading unverified news may serve enemy objectives.

He said some people hastily share any news they encounter without reflecting on its content, even though some reports may aim to destroy public morale or justify crimes the enemy plans to commit, stressing that recklessness in spreading information benefits the enemy.

He added that the key standard should be caution against anything that serves the enemy in what people say or publish, even regarding news reporting, noting that not every event requires media coverage because some information may benefit the enemy.

He claimed that the Israeli enemy sought during the latest round of confrontation to conceal the extent of its losses and the impact of Iranian missile strikes, because it did not want people to see the scale of the damage for morale-related reasons, even among regional populations.

He further said that the enemy wants to minimize the effect of the Iranian response so that the prevailing image remains that it is in the stronger position, and that Israeli media efforts seek to entrench despair among the nation.

He reaffirmed calls for a media boycott of channels that clearly serve Jews, as well as media outlets that promote Zionism , what he described as ideological, cultural, and intellectual deviation.

He also said that people should not associate themselves with media outlets that serve Jews and act as voices of misguidance and evil, calling for a boycott of channels that promote immoral content and vice.

In conclusion, he praised those who play a major and positive role in the media field by spreading awareness through kind words and beneficial content, avoiding harmful material, and supporting what he described as the just cause of the nation through truthful media work.
