Millions of Yemenis took to the streets across the capital and all free provinces on Friday in mass protests denouncing repeated desecration of the Holy Quran by American-Zionist elements, following a call from the leader of the revolution, Sayyed Abdulmalik al-Houthi.
The protests came after reports that the “criminal Zionist-American” Jake Lang had burned a copy of the Holy Quran for the fifth time, in what protesters described as an electoral publicity stunt proving that “targeting Islam and its sanctities has become the only sacrifice acceptable to decision-making circles within hegemonic powers to gain political presence.”
A Unified Statement of Defiance
In a joint statement issued from the protests, the Yemeni people reaffirmed their “complete readiness to confront the expansionist Zionist project known as ‘Greater Israel and Changing the Middle East.'”
Participants raised copies of the Quran, banners, and slogans denouncing the desecration, declaring their readiness for “all field options to confront the evil triad of Zionism, America, and Saudi Arabia.”
The statement emphasized that “repeated offenses against the Quran reveal a systematic campaign led by American-Zionist circles, based on spreading hatred, insulting religions, and turning sanctities into commodities for political bidding, exposing the moral and intellectual collapse of those behind these practices.”
The statement called on all Arab and Islamic peoples to “take serious positions, activate comprehensive economic boycotts of American goods and goods from countries that support Zionism and allow offenses against the Quran, as a religious duty to deter the enemies and their evils.”
Commitment to ‘Siege for Siege’
The Yemeni people renewed their full support for the “siege for siege” equation, expressing complete backing for the Armed Forces and blessing their successful missile and airstrikes that targeted Saudi mobilizations.
They renewed the mandate to Leader al-Houthi to confront Saudi aggression and support the Armed Forces in implementing the “siege for siege and escalation for escalation” equation until the siege is broken and plundered rights are restored.
The statement called for making “the position on the enemies’ offense to the Quran one of the most prominent topics in activities and events for the Prophet’s birthday, as well as in demonstrations and vigils.” It urged continued mobilization and readiness at all levels and in all circumstances.
The remarks come amid renewed outrage across the Islamic world following repeated incidents of Qur’an desecration and anti-Islam provocations in the United States and several Western countries.
This latest insult is part of organized and overtly hostile campaigns against Islam and Muslims, led by Jews through the Zionist movement and their allies in the United States and Israel. These efforts form a Zionist scheme targeting the Muslim nation and posing a serious threat to humanity as a whole.
