In a statement, the Ministry emphasized that achieving peace requires the cessation of hostile policies and actions, the end of foreign presence, and the removal of all forms of occupation across Yemeni territories. Such measures would effectively contribute to establishing a solid, realistic, and sustainable foundation for peace , stability in Yemen and would support the serious efforts of the Sana’a government to lay strong bases for ensuring security and peace at both regional and international levels.
The Ministry affirmed that certain humanitarian issues could be resolved if there were genuine intentions to achieve peace; however, the continued use of these issues as leverage and blackmail by Saudi Arabia demonstrates deliberate intentions and a lack of willingness to advance the peace process.
The statement also pointed out that the legal measures taken by the government against espionage cells involved in the crime targeting the President , members of the Change and Construction Government are constitutional and lawful, not arbitrary. Demands for the release of those involved in the crime constitute a violation of the UN Charter and international law.
The Ministry called on the United Nations to pressure its organizations to hand over the remaining perpetrators of the heinous crime targeting the Yemeni government on 5 Rabi’ al-Awwal 1447 AH / 28 August 2025.
The statement further stressed that the UN should cooperate with Sana’a on this issue and address the shortcomings in its work, rather than demanding the release of those involved in the crime.
The Ministry reaffirmed its ongoing commitment to facilitating and ensuring the success of humanitarian actors in Yemen in accordance with humanitarian principles , guidelines, without politicizing or exploiting humanitarian activities in ways that affect the security and safety of Yemen and its citizens.
It also highlighted the importance of strengthening the effective partnership between the Yemeni government and humanitarian organizations in providing support to Yemenis and alleviating their escalating humanitarian suffering caused by the aggression and ongoing blockade since 26 March 2015, thereby reinforcing trust in the transparency and neutrality of the UN’s humanitarian role and that of its partners.
