Several Injured in Israeli Airstrike in Southern Lebanon Despite Ceasefire

The Israeli enemy has again violated the ceasefire in Lebanon, launching a drone strike on a civilian vehicle in the country’s south and injuring several people, according to Lebanese media reports.

The official Lebanese National News Agency (NNA) reported that an Israeli drone targeted a car near the town of Baisariyah in the Sidon district on Monday, leaving several people wounded.

No immediate details were available on the number or condition of the casualties.

NNA also reported continued Israeli drone activity over the Iqlim Al-Tuffah region, with multiple aircraft flying at medium altitude in defiance of the declared truce.

The Israeli enemy’s military provided no comment on the attack.

The strike came just a day after two people were killed in separate Israeli assaults on southern Lebanon, exposing the enemy’s ongoing disregard for the ceasefire agreement in place since November 2024.

According to Lebanon’s Health Ministry, one person was killed in a strike between Al-Sawwaneh and Khirbet Selm in the Bint Jbeil area, while another died after an Israeli drone fired missiles at a car on the Houmine al-Fawqa–Hamila road in Nabatieh’s Iqlim al-Tuffah region.

The state news agency said Israeli drones flew at low altitude over Tyre, Nabatieh, Iqlim Al-Tuffah, and Bint Jbeil, spreading panic among civilians already reeling from months of aggression.

The enemy’s forces also shelled the outskirts of Alma Al-Shaab in the Tyre district with heavy weaponry, continuing their pattern of indiscriminate bombardment.

Since October 2023, the Israeli enemy has waged a brutal campaign against Lebanon, killing more than 4,000 people and injuring nearly 17,000 others.

What began as border skirmishes has escalated into a full-scale offensive since September 2024, with the regime’s forces relentlessly targeting Lebanese towns and civilian infrastructure under the pretext of striking Hezbollah positions.
