The Minister of Defense, Major General Mohammed Nasser Al-Atifi, and the Chairman of the General Staff, Major General Yusuf Hassan Al-Madani, expressed their warmest congratulations to all the fighters on the 58th anniversary of the Independence Day of November 30, 1967.

The following is its text:

O free Mujahideen… makers of glory and protectors of honor, you are the sons and grandsons of the Ansar and the heirs of the strugglers who offered the most precious sacrifices for the sake of God and for the liberation of the homeland from the clutches of the occupiers, and on the occasion of the 58th anniversary of the glorious independence of the south of the homeland on November 30, 1967, we extend to you the highest expressions of blessings and congratulations, conveying to you the greetings and appreciation of the Leader of the Revolution, the honorable struggler Mr. Abdul-Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, may God preserve and protect him, expressing to you the extent of his pride and honor in the great sacrifices you offer for the sake of God and for the defense of religion, homeland, sovereignty, and the sanctities of the nation.

On this glorious national anniversary, we recall the epic of our ancestors and fathers who wrested independence from the clutches of the oppressive British occupier, and today, as if history is repeating itself, we face new occupiers and mercenaries from within, who seek to return the country to an era of dependency, unaware that they will meet from your might and severity what they did not reckon, and their end will be ruin upon them… With one heart and one hand, we affirm with our determination that this homeland will remain free and proud, and we will not allow any coveter of its soil or any usurper of our dignity to have a foothold, for our path is one and the end is either clear victory or martyrdom in the way of God.

We reiterate our congratulations to you on this precious national occasion, and we convey in your name all, the best congratulations and blessings to the blessed revolutionary leadership and the political and military leadership, affirming to them that we will remain the protective shield and the sharp sword, implementing their directives with all honesty, sincerity, and dedication, and moving forward on the path of victory and liberation… And be assured that the blood of our righteous martyrs will remain torches illuminating the path, and a reminder to the enemies that the sons of this proud homeland will not accept humiliation, will not accept degradation, and will make everyone who dares to tamper with the security and unity of this homeland taste varieties of deterrence that will make him regret what he has done, by the will and power and support of God Almighty.

Glory to the Homeland.. and shame to the enemies.. Pride to the people and their armed forces

And mercy and immortality to the righteous martyrs .. and healing to the wounded

And speedy relief to the prisoners.

And peace, mercy, and blessings of God be upon you.
