The PSince yesterday evening until this morning, Monday, Israeli forces have launched a widespread campaign of arrests and field interrogations targeting at least 80 Palestinian citizens from the West Bank, including Quds, among them children and former prisoners.
The Palestinian Prisoners Club, in a statement issued Monday and seen by the Yemeni news agency Saba, explained that the arrests and field interrogations were concentrated in the town of Beit Ummar in the Hebron Governorate, affecting more than 60 citizens.
The statement indicated that the Israeli occupation continues to escalate its arrest and interrogation campaigns at an increasing pace since the beginning of this year, with arrests in the West Bank reaching approximately 2,000 cases. This is part of a policy of collective punishment targeting various segments of Palestinian society.
The statement clarified that one of the most prominent policies employed during these raids is what is known as “field interrogation,” which has become a standard practice implemented in various governorates. Families are forced to leave their homes, and acts of intimidation, along with the destruction and vandalism of property, are committed before arrests or detentions take place.
The Prisoners Club affirmed that these violations represent an extension of a systematic approach pursued by the Israeli occupation for decades, targeting the Palestinian presence through tools of repression and control. It noted that what has changed since the beginning of the war of extermination is the escalation in the level and intensity of crimes committed against detainees and prisoners.alestinian Prisoners Club, in a statement issued Monday and seen by the Yemeni news agency Saba, explained that the arrests and field interrogations were concentrated in the town of Beit Ummar in the Hebron Governorate, affecting more than 60 citizens.
