Revolution leader congratulates Yemeni people, Islamic nation on arrival of sacred month of Dhul Hijjah

The Leader of the Revolution, Sayyed Abdulmalik Badr Al-Din Al-Houthi, extended his warmest congratulations and blessings to the Muslim Yemeni people, their dear struggling mujahideen on the fronts, and to the Islamic nation, on the occasion of the arrival of the sacred month of Dhul Hijjah.

In his speech today regarding the latest developments and updates, the Leader considered the month of Dhul Hijjah as one of the blessed seasons for drawing closer to God Almighty, for multiplying rewards and blessings, and for spiritual, moral, and educational advancement. It contains great and important religious occasions, foremost among them Hajj, which is one of the pillars of Islam and one of its blessed rituals with great impact on the spiritual and educational level.

He pointed out that the enemies of Islam and Muslims have worked to largely empty Hajj of this important content, and have created many obstacles aimed at complicating Hajj and preventing most Muslims from being able to perform this blessed duty. He indicated that its importance remains, its impact persists, and benefiting from it is still available.

The Leader of the Revolution explained that among the blessed occasions in the month of Dhul Hijjah is the commemoration of the great memory of the Prophet of God and His friend Ibrahim and his son, the Prophet of God Ismail, peace be upon them, which is a great and eternal lesson for all generations in submission to God Almighty.

He noted that among the great acts of worship in this blessed month is the Takbir of Tashreeq over five days, from the dawn of the ninth day, ending at the afternoon of the thirteenth day. He explained that it has a great psychological and emotional impact, and it is one of the important manifestations of God’s saying: “And remember Allah during the appointed days.” Muslims also agree on the virtue of the first ten days of Dhul Hijjah, and traditions have been reported about the multiplication of rewards and blessings for righteous deeds, and about their blessings and importance in drawing closer to God Almighty and in spiritual and moral advancement.

The Leader also pointed to other important occasions in the month of Dhul Hijjah, including the memory of the Farewell Pilgrimage of the Prophet, peace be upon him and his family, as well as the occasion of the Day of Wilayah. He stated that it is a month full of blessed religious occasions, and a great season of goodness in which the opportunity is greatly available for spiritual advancement and drawing closer to God Almighty for those who seize it and for those who seek to benefit from this opportunity.

He added, “We are in most need of benefiting from this season and the religious occasions within it, because spiritual and moral advancement and closeness to God Almighty have their important fruit in divine success, divine guidance, divine assistance, in the reality of life, in a person’s actions and stances, and the resulting consequences in their real life.”
