Yemen’s Rajum Drones Showcase Growing Engineering Edge in Modern Warfare

Footage released by Yemen’s Military Media showing attacks on Saudi troop concentrations, vehicles and affiliated forces using Rajum drones has highlighted a major shift in the Yemeni Armed Forces’ offensive capabilities.

The Rajum unmanned aircraft are described as among Yemen’s latest domestically manufactured FPV drones. The aircraft reportedly uses six rotors and a powerful electric motor, along with control systems and high-resolution day-and-night optical cameras.

Footage shows the drone causing extensive damage to Saudi M1A2S Abrams main battle tanks, described as among the most heavily protected armored vehicles. The footage reportedly shows munitions striking vertically at less-protected areas of the tanks, particularly the rear of the turret, where the ammunition compartment is located, resulting in ammunition explosions and the destruction of the vehicles.
