18 Individuals Misled into Joining Enemy Ranks Covered by General Amnesty Decree Received in Taiz

The leadership of Taiz Governorate received 18 released prisoners—individuals who had been misled into joining the ranks of the Saudi-led aggression (specifically recruited during enemy mobilizations on Zuqar Island)—who are covered by the presidential general amnesty decree.

During the reception, the Acting Governor of Taiz, Ahmed Al-Masawa, explained that this step serves as a practical implementation of the general amnesty decree. He noted that the decree reflects the leadership’s commitment to addressing the repercussions of the past period, turning the page on that chapter, and offering those who were misled an opportunity to return to the right path and stand with the nation—thereby contributing to social cohesion and family reunification.

He emphasized that the general amnesty decree reflects a responsible approach that prioritizes the interests of the nation and its citizens above all other considerations. It opens the door for those who were misled to return to their families and loved ones, seize this opportunity to resume a normal life, and participate in building the nation while safeguarding its security and stability.

Al-Masawa pointed out that the handling of the prisoner and “misled individuals” file is driven by religious, national, and humanitarian considerations, all aimed at providing opportunities for return and course correction, as well as addressing the aftermath of the past period. He pointed out that the forces of aggression exploit the circumstances of young people, thrusting them into confrontations that serve their destructive agendas and schemes. He urged the youth not to fall into the trap of mobilization and recruitment tactics employed by the Saudi enemy, emphasizing that standing with the homeland and defending its interests is the responsible stance against the enemy’s attempts to exploit the people to further its aggressive agenda.

Al-Masawa reiterated his call for those remaining within the ranks of the Saudi enemy’s forces to seize the opportunity offered by the general amnesty and to return to the fold of the homeland and their families, stressing that the doors remain open for anyone wishing to benefit from the amnesty decision.

For their part, the returnees expressed their profound gratitude and deep appreciation to the Leader of the Revolution, as well as to the Chairman and members of the Supreme Political Council, for this generous amnesty, which reflects the leadership’s concern for all the people of Yemen.

The release event was attended by Deputy Governor Fuad Sinan; Brigadier General Abdullah Al-Fadli, Director of the West Coast branch of the Security and Intelligence Service; Brigadier General Mukhtar Al-Maghribi, Head of the Social Welfare Division in the governorate; Omar Al-Shadhli, Director of Al-Mukha District; Talat Al-Sharjabi, Head of the Taiz Network for Rights and Freedoms; and a number of military and local officials.
