Agency: Several Explosions Heard in Southern Iran, & Coastal Defenses Engage Hostile Targets

Iran’s Fars News Agency reported on Wednesday evening that several explosions were heard on Sirik Island and in the city of Bandar Abbas, the capital of Hormozgan Province in southern Iran.

According to the agency, the sound of several explosions was heard in Bandar Abbas and Sirik at approximately 11:15 PM local time, and explosions were also heard from the sea on the western coast of Sirik Island.

The Iranian agency said: “Coastal defenses in Bandar Abbas and Qeshm Island are now engaging hostile targets.”

Last night, US military forces targeted several sites in Iran’s southern provinces, and the Iranian armed forces responded by shelling 85 points in enemy facilities in the region, according to Fars.
