Ansarullah Condemns Joint US-Saudi Attack on Iraq, Affirms Resistance’s Right to Respond

Ansarullah’s Political Bureau condemned a joint US-Saudi attack on Iraq, expressing Yemen’s full solidarity with the Iraqi people and their resistance against the Zionist project in the region.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, the Political Bureau said the attack on Iraq was “criminal, cowardly, illegitimate, and in violation of all international laws and conventions.”

The statement described the attack as a “blatant assault on Iraq’s sovereignty and its people in all their components and orientations,” adding that it represented a continuation of “US arrogance and its Saudi tool’s policies toward the countries and peoples of the region in service of the Zionist project.”

Ansarullah reaffirmed Iraq’s right—its government, army, people, and resistance—to respond to the attack, while reiterating the Yemeni people’s support for Iraq.

The movement also called on the United Nations to assume its responsibilities regarding US, Zionist, and Saudi aggression in the region.

The statement follows a joint US-Saudi military operation against bases of Iraq’s Popular Mobilization Forces (PMU), which Washington and Riyadh said was launched in response to recent drone attacks on Saudi oil facilities. The strikes came despite warnings from the Iraqi resistance that any Saudi military action on Iraqi territory would be met with a decisive response, while rejecting Saudi allegations that attacks on its oil infrastructure had originated from Iraq.
