Iranian Military and Diplomatic Warnings Escalate Amid Israeli Threats Against Lebanon

In response to the escalating situation in Lebanon, Iran issued stern warnings to residents in northern occupied Palestine, while Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi held the United States and Israel responsible for the consequences of any violations of ceasefire agreements.

The Khatam Al-Anbiya Central Headquarters issued a statement urging residents of northern areas and military settlements in the occupied territories to evacuate immediately.

The statement affirmed that Zionist Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu continues hostile actions in the region, including threats to strike Beirut’s southern suburbs (Dahiyeh) and issue evacuation warnings to civilians there.

It further warned that, in light of repeated violations of the ceasefire in Lebanon, any implementation of such threats would be met with consequences, calling on residents of northern areas and military settlements to leave immediately if they wish to avoid harm.

Araghchi: Ceasefire violations have wider consequences.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated that any violation of the ceasefire in Lebanon constitutes a breach across all fronts, stressing that both the United States and Israel bear responsibility for the consequences of such violations.

In a post on the platform X, Araghchi wrote that the ceasefire between Iran and the United States “clearly and without ambiguity” extends to all fronts, including Lebanon, adding that any breach on one front amounts to a breach on all fronts.

He reiterated that Washington and the Israeli enemy would be held accountable for any repercussions resulting from violations of the agreement.

Diplomatic contacts with Qatar and Turkey

In parallel diplomatic engagements, Araghchi held a phone call with Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, during which the two discussed the latest developments in Lebanon amid ongoing Israeli attacks and exchanged views on their regional implications.

Araghchi also held a separate phone call with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, focusing on recent regional developments and the situation in Lebanon in light of continued Israeli military operations.
