Iraqi Resistance: Saudi Regime Is Nothing but Treacherous Dagger, Filthy Tool Operated from White House
The Islamic Resistance in Iraq affirmed on Wednesday that “the Saudi regime has never been and will never be anything but a treacherous dagger or a filthy tool operated from the White House and its dubious intelligence apparatuses.”
In a statement, following the Saudi-American aggression that Iraq was subjected to today, the Iraqi Resistance said: “Just as the Saudi regime yesterday harnessed its capabilities to dispatch suicide bombers to spill Iraqi blood, today it is once again compelled to renew its contract of subservience to carry out the crimes of its masters and their criminal dictates, in order to undermine the will of our proud people.”
It added: “After the Islamic Resistance categorically denied any targeting of the Saudi entity and its facilities, the American enemy committed a new crime, targeting members of the Popular Mobilization Forces and a procession serving the visitors of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) in Holy Karbala, resulting in dozens of martyrs and wounded.”
It continued: “Even if we were to hypothetically accept the Saudi claims that the source of the strike on their oil facilities came from Iraq—can it be believed that an (unsuccessful) attempt to target an oil field would be met with the killing and wounding of dozens of innocent people?!”
It questioned: “And if we were to assume, at this critical juncture, that we handed over our weapons and missiles to the governmental authority, so that it could assume the responsibility of defending Iraq’s sovereignty, the sanctity of its territory, and its people—what firm stances would it take in the face of this real field test, to prove to everyone its ability to deter the aggressors and exact retribution from those who shed the pure blood of the martyrs, instead of the resistance fighters, who have done so repeatedly in Iraq?”
The Islamic Resistance in Iraq announced that it is granting “the Iraqi governmental authorities, which have called on the resistance to disarm, a deadline extending until the 23rd of the month of Safar, to see what they will do.”
It concluded its statement: “Out of our concern for the safety of the visitors of Abu Abdullah Al-Hussein (peace be upon him) and the honorable procession organizers, and to prevent any disruption to the blessed Arba’een visit before its ceremonies are completed, our response to the American enemy is inevitable and may target its tools in Saudi Arabia whenever circumstances require it.”
