Israeli Enemy Escalates Attacks on Southern Lebanon with Airstrikes, Explosions, & Artillery Shelling

The Israeli enemy army escalated its aggression on southern Lebanon this evening, Friday, targeting a number of towns and areas with airstrikes, explosions, and artillery shelling, continuing the Zionist violations of the ceasefire agreement.

Lebanon’s National News Agency reported that the Israeli enemy army carried out a large explosion this afternoon in the town of Kfar Tibnit, and also detonated a number of homes in the town of Houla in the Marjeyoun district, after having booby-trapped them in the morning, causing a loud blast to be heard in the town and surrounding areas.

It reported that Israeli enemy warplanes carried out an airstrike targeting the Dahra of Kfar Rouman at the eastern outskirts of the town, after a drone had earlier dropped explosives over the town.

Enemy warplanes also carried out an airstrike targeting the Al-Deir neighborhood in Nabatiyeh Al-Fawqa in two waves within less than a quarter of an hour, and a third airstrike targeting the same neighborhood in less than two hours, while Israeli enemy artillery shelled the outskirts of the town of Haris in the Bint Jbeil district.

According to the Lebanese agency, a Zionist drone targeted the vicinity of the convent between the towns of Nabatiyeh Al-Fawqa and Mefdoun, while another drone struck a home belonging to the Bitar family with a guided missile near Al-Ma’souma Park in the Al-Shqif neighborhood in Nabatiyeh city, with no reports of casualties.

Zionist warplanes also carried out airstrikes on the towns of Al-Mansouri, Haddatha, and Sarbein.

Since March 2, the Israeli enemy has escalated its criminal aggression on Lebanon, targeting Lebanese towns, villages, cities, and civilian structures, resulting in hundreds of martyrs, thousands of wounded, and the displacement of approximately one and a half million Lebanese citizens, the majority of whom are not registered in shelters.

On June 18, Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif announced that an Islamabad memorandum of understanding had been electronically signed between the United States and the Islamic Republic of Iran, which included a ceasefire on all fronts, including Lebanon. However, the Israeli enemy army continues to commit daily violations of the agreement.
