Ansarullah Political Bureau member Mohammed al-Farah said Monday that Sana’a’s position toward any Saudi escalation is “clear and unambiguous,” warning that any attack carried out by Riyadh directly or through allied factions would face a direct response, according to Yemen’s Armed Forces’ stated position.
Al-Farah said Sana’a considers operations by Saudi-backed factions as the direct responsibility of Riyadh, stressing that blaming local allies would not exempt Saudi Arabia from the consequences.
He added that Saudi Arabia, with US support, believes it can use local forces while avoiding responsibility, but said Sana’a considers any attack—whether direct or through proxies—as Saudi aggression.
Al-Farah said any response would be direct and decisive and could target Saudi territory, in line with Yemen’s announced rules of engagement.
He also stressed that Yemen’s sovereignty is a non-negotiable principle, accusing Saudi, US, British, and Israeli air operations, along with local allied forces, of causing widespread human and material losses during the aggression.
Recently, Yemen’s Armed Forces have issued a stark warning to the criminal Saudi regime against any folly or new aggression, vowing a comprehensive response targeting the enemy’s vital interests on land and sea.
This came after a formation of Saudi enemy warplanes violated Yemeni provincial airspace in an attempt to prevent an Iranian civilian aircraft—carrying over 200 stranded citizens, wounded, and sick passengers—from landing at Sana’a International Airport.
