Leader of Revolution: Our People moved to confront Saudis out of human, religious, national responsibility to defend their land, existence, independence

The Leader of the Revolution confirmed that the Yemeni people moved to confront the Saudi aggression out of human, religious, and national responsibility to defend their land, honor, existence, and independence.

In his speech Monday on the occasion of the 12th anniversary of the September 21 Revolution, the Leader explained that the path of the Yemeni people in defending against and confronting the Saudi aggression was an escalating one internally, marked by steadfastness in the field, by the grace and favor of Allah.

He pointed out that the process of building military capabilities of all kinds in Yemen started from point zero. The Yemeni people demonstrated utmost dedication and offered sacrifices to defend their land, honor, dignity, and independence, yielding significant results in frustrating the enemies at a time when they hoped to settle the battle in their favor.

Al-Houthi noted that the enemies were thwarted after long years of escalation against the country—during which they employed all possible forms of criminality, blockade, and targeting. In fact, the enemies were shocked by the steadfastness of our people and the growing effectiveness of our military capabilities and battlefield positions, by the grace of Allah.

He said: “During the de-escalation phase, there was an opportunity for the Saudi aggressor to review its calculations and realize that it is impossible to overcome our people or subject them once again,” emphasizing that the Saudi aggressor operates under the umbrella of the Americans, the British, and the Israelis, acting as a subordinate with no independent program of its own.

The Leader addressed Yemen’s role in supporting the Palestinian people and the resistance in Gaza during “Al-Aqsa Flood” battle, highlighting the Saudi regime’s erroneous direction in conspiring against Yemen during this period.

He said: “The Saudi aggressor took a wrong path when Yemen fulfilled its humanitarian duty in supporting Palestine. It bet on the American, British, and Israeli offensive to destroy our people’s military infrastructure, and also bet on American and Zionist strikes to weaken our people’s capabilities, actively serving them by providing information through joint intelligence efforts.”

The leader stated that the Saudi aggressor opened its airports to Israeli reconnaissance aircraft to launch toward Yemen from its runways, exerted every effort to intercept missiles and drones launched toward occupied Palestine against the Israeli enemy, and spearheaded media campaigns to distort Yemen’s stance in supporting Gaza.

The Leader touched upon the Saudi aggressor’s push toward economic blockade and further measures and restrictions that deepen the suffering of our dear people. Delegations from the Saudi and British enemy frequently visited Djibouti to tighten procedures and exacerbate the humanitarian suffering of Yemenis through economic pressure.

He added: “With the catastrophic accumulation of the blockade’s impacts, our people could not ignore or overlook the situation. Furthermore, the Saudi enemy has deprived our people of their oil and gas wealth since the beginning of the aggression, preventing them from utilizing these revenues for salaries and basic services.”

The Leader of the Revolution emphasized that the enemies seek to bring Yemen to total collapse, destabilize the internal situation, and dismantle society, while also attempting to control the people’s resources and turn all strategic locations into military bases.

He reviewed the enemies’ efforts in recruitment and exploiting crises, including security targeting, confirming that the security services exerted immense efforts to confront cells operating in service of the enemies.

Al-Houthi noted that the damage caused by the blockade has accumulated alongside the enemy’s targeting of the currency and all economic sectors, reaching a tragic state and a catastrophic situation that cannot be ignored.

He said: “The crisis facing our people has reached the point where the enemy prevents them from obtaining essential food—so can we wait for something worse?! What was announced by the Ministry of Health reflects the immense suffering our people endure, with resources reaching point zero,” stressing that the damages resulting from the aggression and blockade reflect the profound injustice inflicted upon the Yemeni people.

He considered the movement of the Yemeni people following all this injustice to be a legitimate and justified move, adding: “We benefit from regional circumstances, but we are holders of a genuine cause.”

Al-Houthi continued: “We stand in solidarity and cooperate with the Axis of Jihad and Resistance, regarding any targeting of an Islamic country as a danger to the nation out of our principled responsibility. We are also holders of a cause and a grievance that ranks among the greatest on earth, so how can others begrudge us when we move against aggression and blockade?!”

He went on to say: “Those who begrudge our movement against aggression and blockade would never accept it if Saudi Arabia closed their airports and barred them from traveling,” asking: “Would the entities sympathizing and weeping with the Saudi enemy over its oil facilities and our forces’ responses accept restrictions placed on commercial imports to be held in another country for piece-by-piece inspection?!”

He further questioned: “Would those entities weeping with the Saudi enemy accept measures that stifle commercial movement and target the currency? Would they accept being deprived of their oil and gas resources?”

Sayyed Abdul-Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi directly addressed these sympathizing entities, saying: “Which nation would accept what the Saudi enemy is doing, leaving its people without salaries for over 11 years?! Would Turks or Pakistanis accept Saudi intervention in all their policies? Would the Gulf states accept that?”

He affirmed that the Saudi enemy wants to be the sole authority in our country regarding the appointment of officials, to the extent that no legitimacy exists for anyone not appointed by Saudi Arabia, asking: “Who would accept the complete violation of their country’s sovereignty, intervention in all its affairs, and giving the Saudis absolute authority to command and forbid?!”

He reiterated that Saudi arrogance cannot be accepted, stating that the Saudi regime’s stance is one of occupation. The Saudi enemy’s program is aimed at targeting the Yemeni people through aggressive actions across all fields, adding: “Everyone knows that the Saudi enemy is the one who determines who holds office in the areas it occupies, while the traitors act merely as its soldiers.”
