The Leader said in his fifth lecture of the Dhul Hijjah lessons today as part of the series “This Quran guides to that which is most upright”: “When our peoples rely on their enemies for their basic needs, including food, they become a pressure card in the hands of the enemies.”
He pointed out that the Zionist Jews, “America and Israel,” realize the importance of the boycott weapon, and they are more active in using it in the field of confrontation and conflict against the nation, affirming that the enemies have used and continue to use economic pressure and boycotts on Iran, Iraq, Libya, Syria, Yemen, Cuba, and many countries of the world.
He explained that the enemies benefit from the boycott weapon against the Islamic nation, while our nation does not benefit from it in confronting them, even though it is an effective weapon. He added, “It is very strange that the foolish and unjust governments in our Islamic world adhere to the economic boycott for the benefit of America, as most Arab regimes are the most committed to the boycott according to American interests and against Islamic countries.”
He continued, “If the Arab and Islamic regimes adhered to the Quran just as they adhere to American decisions, the nation’s situation would indeed be very different from what it is,” affirming that there is negligence in relying on imports as an economic policy at the expense of local production.
He went on to say, “It is very strange that businessmen import everything, even ‘jute mallow’ is imported with dollars. When the practical and productive spirit is absent in society, that is a dangerous situation that produces unemployment, laxity, and loss of practical skills,” explaining that economic renaissance is a renaissance in which peoples move within a practical and productive framework.
The Leader of the Revolution pointed out that national sovereign wealth, including oil and gas, is under the control of the enemies, and they deprive our people of it. The economic blockade is very severe on our country, more than any other Arab or Islamic country, indicating that the items prohibited from being imported into our country are those that would be beneficial to our people, while they allow things that are worthless and serve the enemies.
He stated that the Saudi side benefits from enormous amounts of money from trivial things that traders could produce locally, and large sums of money go to Saudi Arabia, and it is not satisfied with the huge revenues it gets from oil in the Arabian Peninsula.
He pointed out that the solution to the economic situation is to return to Allah Almighty and to assume responsibilities related to the economic field based on a correct and serious movement and starting point.
He said, “If a portion of the money that goes abroad were directed to local production, the reality would certainly change completely, and it would be in the traders’ own interest. Part of the fundamental solutions to the living and economic situation is to move towards self-sufficiency.”
Sayyed Abdul Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi noted that boycotting the goods of enemies benefits the economic renaissance of our country, mobilizes labor, raw materials, and economic resources in the country, explaining that most Arab money and wealth in the Islamic world flows to the benefit of the enemies.
He said, “When the infidel Trump called Saudi Arabia a ‘cash cow,’ he meant this perspective with which the enemies view the nation. They want it to be a cash cow until its udder dries up, and then they will destroy it,” affirming that the responsibility of boycott is great upon the entire nation because it is a means available to everyone.
He stressed that it is the duty of the brothers in the media, channels, and conscientious, aware, and righteous media outlets to focus on the impact level of the boycott, pointing out that the boycott weapon is a responsibility that does not cause harm with practical application by purchasing alternative goods.
He added, “The Gulf countries are the largest consumers of the goods of Zionist multinational companies, and there is even promotion in the Gulf countries of goods directly produced by the Zionist enemy.”
He continued, “Many people move on social media without any ethical, religious, or any considerations related to serving the nation’s causes. We must not say what serves and benefits the enemies, but rather say what benefits our nation and its just causes, and speak the truth in the face of the arrogant tyrants.”
The Leader pointed out that the media field requires awareness, righteousness, and understanding of faith, ethical, and religious commitment, and not everything is permissible. He affirmed that media freedom does not mean the freedom to lie, slander, and deceive, nor does it mean the freedom to distort and fabricate facts and serve falsehood.
He said, “Media freedom does not mean practicing misguidance, nor does it mean permitting the violation of people’s honor unjustly, or insulting people unjustly. Media freedom also does not mean slander and incitement to serve falsehood and work to serve the enemies.”
He considered the term “freedom of expression” a deceptive title brought by the West in the wrong context, as the West does not accept nor allow media freedom or freedom of expression when it comes to criticizing the crimes of the Jews.
He added, “Freedom of expression and media freedom end in the West when the issue is criticism of the crimes of the Jews and solidarity with the Palestinian people and the peoples of our nation,” affirming that “the media field is one of the most dangerous and important fields in the conflict between us as Muslims and the Jews.”
The Leader of the Revolution explained that the Jews focus heavily on the media field and have many media outlets, and there are media outlets in the name of Arab governments or bodies, but in reality, they certainly work as media outlets serving the Jews.
He said, “The difference between media outlets in the name of Arab governments and direct Jewish media is only language,” explaining that media outlets present themselves as being from the nation while they are trumpets for Zionism.
He continued, “The traitors present themselves as being from Yemen while they are against the Yemeni people, and they repeat the same terms of the criminal, infidel, Zionist Jew Netanyahu, and the terms of the criminal Netanyahu are repeated by Arab media, whether from the traitors of our country or at the regional level.”
He added, “In some Saudi and Gulf media, they are apparently counted as belonging to those countries, but they use the same terms as Netanyahu and before him Sharon,” noting that media outlets work to mislead the nation and divert its compass of hostility towards a direction that serves the Jews, Israel, and America.
In the context of his lecture, he spoke about the danger of soft war and its effects on society, affirming that a large part of soft war comes through media to influence ideas, public opinion, loyalties, enmities, or towards efforts of moral dilution and corruption.
The Leader of the Revolution pointed out that many governments and bodies work with the Jews in moral corruption, because the enemies rely on it before military hardware.
