Ansarullah Official: Zionist Entity Fears Hezbollah’s Power More Than Any Actor in the Region

Member of the Political Bureau of Ansarullah, Mohammed Al-Farah, condemned the silence of the UN Security Council regarding Sunday’s Zionist airstrike that targeted a residential neighborhood in the Lebanese capital, Beirut.

In a post on his X account, Al-Farah said that the concepts of sovereignty and independence “have disappeared from the Security Council’s dictionary” while an Arab country is subjected to open aggression by the Israeli enemy.” He added that international human-rights standards remain biased in favor of “Western, not Arab, human beings.”

Al-Farah stressed that those calling for the disarmament of the resistance “are publicly echoing and adopting the demands of the Israeli enemy,” questioning what benefit such calls could bring to Lebanon or Palestine “amid daily Israeli aggression.” He argued that these positions pave the way for the enemy to “entrench its dominance, expand further, and complete its occupation.”

He noted that the Zionist entity targets Hezbollah because it recognizes the scale of the party’s strength and fears it more than any other actor in the region, especially after experiencing “the heavy cost of war” with it.

He affirmed that Hezbollah “does not weaken with the martyrdom of its fighters,” recalling that the movement “started from nothing” and that “the blood of martyrs liberated Lebanon and humiliated Israel.”

Al-Farah concluded that Zionist attacks “will not lead to Hezbollah’s disarmament,” but will instead strengthen the party’s capabilities and reinforce Lebanese conviction in “the importance of the resistance and the necessity of its weapons.” He predicted that the Israeli enemy will ultimately “regret the policies of its leaders, which will hasten its demise.”

The Zionist entity and Hezbollah reached a ceasefire agreement that took effect on November 27, 2024. Under the deal, the entity was required to withdraw fully from the Lebanese territory, but has kept forces stationed at five sites, in clear violation of UN Security Council Resolution 1701 and the terms of last November’s agreement.

Since the implementation of the ceasefire, the Israeli enemy has violated the agreement multiple times through repeated assaults on the Lebanese territory. The Zionist entity has launched a new act of aggression on a residential neighborhood in Lebanon’s capital, Beirut, killing at least five people and injuring more than 20 people, Lebanon’s Health Ministry said.
