Ansarullah Political Bureau member Hizam al-Assad warned Monday that any Saudi actions against the Yemeni people or efforts to obstruct lifting the blockade would have serious consequences, saying Riyadh would bear a heavy cost.
He said even limited measures aimed at preventing Yemen from achieving its sovereignty and legitimate rights could trigger major repercussions amid current regional developments.
Al-Assad argued that the war on Yemen sought to maintain foreign influence rather than achieve military objectives, stressing the United States and Saudi Arabia view Yemen’s independent decision-making as a setback to their regional plans.
He added that Sana’a had exhausted political and diplomatic efforts to end the blockade and secure Yemen’s rights but said those initiatives had failed to produce results.
Al-Assad said Sana’a now considers diplomacy exhausted and warned that the next phase would be “purely military” if other parties continue to reject Yemen’s legitimate demands.
Recently, Yemen’s Armed Forces have issued a stark warning to the criminal Saudi regime against any folly or new aggression, vowing a comprehensive response targeting the enemy’s vital interests on land and sea.
This came after a formation of Saudi enemy warplanes violated Yemeni provincial airspace in an attempt to prevent an Iranian civilian aircraft—carrying over 200 stranded citizens, wounded, and sick passengers—from landing at Sana’a International Airport.
